VinFast has announced the completion of a new strategic brand structure for its automotive portfolio and introduced two flagship ultra-luxury electric vehicles, the Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S. The new models expand the Lac Hong series and reinforce the company’s positioning across three distinct vehicle segments: ultra-luxury, mass-market passenger vehicles, and commercial mobility solutions.

The restructuring formally organizes VinFast’s product lineup into three dedicated automotive brands. The Lac Hong marque represents the company’s ultra-luxury category and currently includes the 900 LX, 900S, and 800S models. The VF brand covers VinFast’s core passenger vehicle portfolio, ranging from the compact VF 3 to the flagship VF 9, along with the seven-seat VF MPV 7. The Green brand focuses on commercial mobility applications and includes vehicles such as Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Minio Green.

The launch of the Lac Hong 800S and 900S expands the company’s presence in the premium luxury vehicle segment, complementing the Lac Hong 900 LX introduced in 2025. That flagship model also includes a specialized armored variant designed for high-security applications.

Both newly unveiled models draw design inspiration from Vietnam’s cultural heritage and are intended to reflect national identity through craftsmanship and symbolic design details. The Lac Hong 800S presents a bold and modern exterior character, while the Lac Hong 900S emphasizes classic luxury styling with a focus on elegance and refinement.

The vehicles feature a unified design language unique to the Lac Hong brand. The front grille incorporates vertical slats inspired by bamboo, a symbol of strength and resilience in Vietnamese culture. The wing-shaped emblem represents the Lac bird in flight, while decorative elements throughout the vehicle reference motifs from the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields. The “Lac Hong” nameplate appears in stylized calligraphy and is crafted from gold-plated alloy.

Inside the cabin, the vehicles are equipped with premium materials including Nappa leather upholstery, rare wood trim, and gold-accented finishes. The interiors also incorporate advanced digital technology, safety systems, and a suite of luxury amenities designed for comfort and entertainment.

Both models feature executive seating with zero-gravity functionality, automated power-assisted doors, and high-end multimedia systems from internationally recognized brands. The Lac Hong 900S includes additional luxury elements such as a privacy partition between the cockpit and rear cabin, a starlight headliner, a projection entertainment system, and a foldable workstation for rear passengers.

From a performance perspective, the vehicles use a new fully active suspension system designed to enhance ride quality and vehicle stability. They can also be configured with a tri-motor electric powertrain consisting of one motor at the front and two at the rear, delivering combined output of up to 460 kW. VinFast plans to launch the Lac Hong 800S and 900S commercially in 2027.

Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Automotives at VinFast, said the new brand structure and vehicle introductions represent the next stage of the company’s development following rapid growth in recent years. She noted that VinFast’s progress demonstrates the capabilities of Vietnamese engineering, manufacturing expertise, and technological innovation.

VinFast has introduced more than 15 electric vehicle models to date and has maintained the top position in Vietnam’s automotive market for 16 consecutive months. In 2025, the company delivered 175,099 vehicles in Vietnam, establishing a national sales record.

VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS), part of Vingroup JSC—one of Vietnam’s largest diversified conglomerates—is a dedicated electric vehicle manufacturer driven by the goal of bringing electric mobility within reach of a broad customer base. The company’s current portfolio spans electric SUVs, e-scooters and e-buses, catering to both personal and public transportation needs.
