Venture Global has signed new binding agreements with TotalEnergies and Vitol for additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies from the United States, reinforcing growing global demand for reliable energy security and diversified LNG sourcing. Under the agreement with TotalEnergies, Venture Global will supply approximately 0.85 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG over a period of nearly five years beginning in 2026.

Separately, Venture Global and Vitol have expanded an existing five-year LNG agreement, increasing contracted supply volumes to 1.7 MTPA from the earlier agreed volume of 1.5 MTPA announced in March 2026. The additional LNG volumes will be sourced from Venture Global’s expanding portfolio of LNG production facilities and infrastructure projects in the United States. The agreements come at a time when global energy markets continue to prioritize supply diversification, long-term energy security, and stable access to natural gas amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and rising international energy demand.

Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel said the agreements strengthen the company’s partnerships with major global energy firms while reflecting growing international confidence in the company’s ability to deliver scalable and cost-competitive US LNG supplies.

He noted that customers increasingly require a mix of short-, medium-, and long-term supply flexibility to manage evolving market conditions and support global energy transition strategies. Venture Global has rapidly emerged as one of the largest LNG exporters in the United States since beginning LNG production from its first facility in 2022.

The company currently has more than 100 MTPA of LNG capacity either operational, under construction, or in advanced development stages. Its major projects include the Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines LNG, and CP2 LNG facilities located along Louisiana’s Gulf Coast region.

In addition to LNG production infrastructure, Venture Global is also developing carbon capture and sequestration projects integrated with its LNG operations as part of broader efforts to strengthen sustainability and emissions management initiatives. TotalEnergies continues to expand its global LNG and low-carbon energy portfolio as part of its long-term strategy focused on energy diversification and cleaner energy solutions.

The company operates across oil, natural gas, biofuels, renewables, hydrogen, and electricity markets in more than 120 countries and has positioned sustainability and energy transition investments at the center of its global growth strategy. Meanwhile, Vitol remains one of the world’s largest energy and commodities trading companies with significant investments across energy infrastructure, LNG supply chains, and global trading operations.

The company has been active in LNG markets since the mid-2000s and currently manages a diversified global LNG portfolio that supports customers through both short-term and long-term supply arrangements. In 2025, Vitol delivered approximately 23 million metric tonnes of LNG and handled more than 1,800 terawatt-hours of natural gas globally.
