Varroc Engineering Limited, a leading global Tier-1 automotive component manufacturer, has been honoured with the In-Cabin Infotainment & Connected Technology Award at the inaugural ET AutoTech Awards 2026. The recognition acknowledges the company’s innovation in connected vehicle technology through VarrocLink, an indigenous connectivity platform designed to deliver advanced in-vehicle infotainment while offering greater flexibility, lower licensing costs, and deeper customization for automobile manufacturers.

The award highlights Varroc Engineering’s continued focus on developing technology solutions that address evolving mobility requirements while supporting Indian automotive manufacturers with locally developed, globally competitive digital platforms. VarrocLink has been developed as a sovereign connectivity ecosystem that enables vehicle manufacturers to create customized infotainment experiences tailored to their respective brands. Unlike conventional smartphone mirroring platforms that depend on standardized interfaces and expensive licensing models, VarrocLink allows OEMs to design their own user interface, integrate selected applications, and deliver a differentiated digital experience to customers.

One of the platform’s key technological strengths lies in its asynchronous architecture, which shifts resource-intensive functions, including high-precision navigation, from smartphones to the vehicle’s onboard infotainment system. This approach improves navigation reliability while reducing smartphone battery consumption, particularly during long-distance travel or in regions with inconsistent mobile network coverage.

The platform is currently being integrated into the upcoming vehicle portfolio of a leading Indian automobile manufacturer, including premium lifestyle SUVs and multi-purpose vehicles. Its flexible architecture enables deployment across multiple vehicle segments, including passenger vehicles, electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, and off-highway applications.

Beyond conventional infotainment features such as music controls, call management, SMS notifications, calendar synchronization, and surround-view vehicle monitoring through a mobile application, Varroc Engineering is expanding the platform into a comprehensive connected vehicle ecosystem.

Future upgrades will introduce remote vehicle management capabilities, allowing users to monitor vehicle health, perform remote diagnostics, activate air conditioning before entering the vehicle, locate parked vehicles, and remotely operate lights and the horn. These enhancements are intended to strengthen convenience, improve operational efficiency, and support predictive maintenance.

Commenting on the achievement, Dhruv Jain, Whole-time Director and CEO, Varroc Business II, said the award reflects the company’s commitment to developing intelligent mobility solutions that combine local engineering expertise with global quality standards. He noted that VarrocLink addresses practical challenges faced by both vehicle manufacturers and consumers while contributing to the advancement of safer, smarter, and more connected transportation.

The ET AutoTech Awards jury recognised the platform for its practical innovation, scalable design, and ability to solve real-world mobility challenges through indigenous technology. The award reinforces Varroc Engineering’s growing presence in the connected mobility space and highlights its commitment to delivering next-generation automotive technologies that support the future of intelligent transportation.
