At Blechexpo 2025, TRUMPF introduced the completely redesigned TruBend 3000 series — a new generation of bending machines built for speed, precision, and efficiency. This latest model features advanced technologies originally developed for the high-end TruBend 5000 series, enabling up to 40% faster throughput than its predecessor.
“The new TruBend 3000 offers users a highly capable, technology-driven solution that can handle around 85% of all sheet metal bending tasks,” said Wolfgang Weingartsberger, Product Manager at TRUMPF. “It delivers outstanding accuracy and productivity in its class.” Depending on configuration, the machine provides a press force ranging from 85 to 230 tonnes and supports bending lengths between two and four meters.
TRUMPF designed the new TruBend 3000 to meet the growing demands of small and medium-sized manufacturers facing rising costs, tighter deadlines, and quality challenges. To guarantee consistent results, the system integrates TRUMPF’s ACB Laser automatic angle measurement technology. Using a combination of laser sensors and cameras, it checks the bending angle before each operation and automatically adjusts the press beam for precision. This ensures uniform quality across all parts, minimizes waste, and helps reduce production costs.
The machine is compatible with TRUMPF’s “TecZone Bend” programming software, which allows users to create programs while the machine is running, maximizing uptime. Operators can simply upload a 2D or 3D model, and within seconds, the software generates the correct bending sequence, tool selection, and collision checks. Even users with limited programming experience can quickly prepare the next job directly on the machine’s touch display.
Energy efficiency is another highlight of the new model. Its “On-Demand Servo Drive” activates the motor only during the bending process, cutting energy use by about 30% compared to traditional hydraulic drives — supporting both cost savings and sustainable manufacturing.
Safety remains a top priority in the new design. The built-in “Bend Guard” protection system uses cameras and matrix sensors to continuously monitor the work area. If it detects any obstruction, such as the operator’s hands, the machine immediately stops. Work can resume quickly using a foot pedal reset, ensuring both protection and productivity.
Ideal for small and mid-sized fabricators, the TruBend 3000 is optimized for both one-off and series production. Its digital interfaces allow seamless integration with other TRUMPF automation and storage systems, making it a strong fit for smart factory environments.
Customers also benefit from TRUMPF’s global service network and digital support tools, including condition monitoring, remote assistance, and the TRUMPF Service App. “Up to 80% of issues can be resolved remotely without waiting for an on-site technician,” noted Mr Weingartsberger. With the new TruBend 3000, TRUMPF continues to combine innovation, safety, and sustainability — setting a new standard in sheet metal bending technology.
