METALEX 2025, the region’s leading exhibition for metalworking and machinery, is set to return under the theme “The Spotlight”, bringing together industrial leaders and innovators from across ASEAN. The event will take place from 19–22 November 2025 at BITEC, Bangkok (Halls 98–104), and will serve as a major platform for showcasing breakthrough technologies, knowledge exchange, and business collaboration in the manufacturing sector.
Varaporn Dhamcharee, Managing Director of RX BITEC, said that strong industrial output and intense competition continue to drive the need for higher productivity and advanced machinery across ASEAN. “METALEX continues to act as a vital force in helping manufacturers adapt to new challenges, embrace innovation, and build long-term competitiveness,” she remarked.
Now in its 39th edition, METALEX 2025 will highlight world-class innovations that define the future of metalworking. More than 3,000 global brands from 50 countries and 18 international pavilions from key markets including Japan, China, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong SAR will exhibit their latest technologies.
The exhibition will feature several key attractions, beginning with the JAMTAT Pavilion, which will highlight Japan’s most advanced machine tool innovations. Visitors will also experience the Sheet METALEX Zone, dedicated to the newest sheet metal processing technologies, including state-of-the-art laser cutting, waterjet, folding, punching, and other fabrication systems from world-leading brands. These zones are designed to give manufacturers across ASEAN direct access to the latest production tools and solutions that can boost efficiency and precision.
A major highlight of METALEX 2025 will be the world premieres of several groundbreaking machines and systems. Among them is the BROTHER SPEEDIO DG-1, an automated deburring system capable of reducing setup times by over 70%, and the TAKAMATSU AT-1, a CNC lathe making its global debut in Thailand. The AMADA VENTIS AJe Series will introduce fiber laser cutting with “Locus Beam Control” technology for greater speed and energy efficiency, while the JSR ENTECH SuperView WT3000 brings nanometer-level precision measurement to Thailand for the first time. Also debuting are the NACHI MZS05, a smart collaborative robot equipped with advanced sensors, and the Dobot CR30H, a high-speed robotic palletizing system designed to enhance automation in manufacturing lines.
Beyond product showcases, METALEX 2025 will host over 110 conference sessions featuring 169 international experts from various industrial and academic fields. These sessions will cover the most relevant trends and technologies shaping global manufacturing. Key forums include the EV Tech Forum 2025, centered on micro-electric vehicles for smart city development, and the METALEX AI Forum 2025, focusing on artificial intelligence applications in modern manufacturing.
Additional highlights include the 13th Metallurgy Forum, which will examine advances in the aluminum sector, and the International Symposium on Light Materials Technology, jointly organized by MTEC and the University of Toyama, with contributions from leading experts including Boeing (USA). Complementing these sessions are TMETC15 and TCPC2025, comprehensive metallurgy conferences supported by Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and Chulalongkorn University. The SMC Smart & Sustainable Industry Forum will round off the program, emphasizing the shift toward intelligent, environmentally responsible manufacturing systems that will define the next phase of industrial growth in the ASEAN region.
METALEX 2025 will introduce The Master Class, where participants can experience humanoid robots, simulation technologies, and IIoT programming. Attendees will receive certificates from the Thai PLC Center upon completion. Another highlight includes AI-CIRA CoRE, demonstrating locally developed AI applications in manufacturing.
Adding excitement to the event, the “Koma Taisen” Spinning-Top Championship will return — a live contest of precision engineering where machinists and engineers compete for the chance to represent Thailand at the international finals in Japan. Mrs Varaporn noted, “METALEX serves as a catalyst for technological investment and industrial advancement across ASEAN. It’s where the region’s manufacturing community comes together to envision and shape the future.” Organizers anticipate over 100,000 visitors and business transactions exceeding USD 213 million during the show.
