Trishakti Industries Limited (BSE: 531279), an infrastructure equipment rental company, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with XCMG for a purchase order valued at approximately ₹125 crore for a 900-tonne heavy-lift crane. The addition of the high-capacity crane is expected to strengthen Trishakti Industries’ capabilities in specialised heavy-lifting applications, particularly in India’s expanding wind energy sector. The company also expects the equipment to create new opportunities across infrastructure and large-scale industrial projects.

India’s wind energy industry is moving towards taller turbines with larger rotor diameters and higher hub heights. This change is increasing demand for specialised heavy-lift equipment capable of handling the installation of next-generation wind turbines. The planned 900-tonne crane will provide Trishakti with an entry into this specialised equipment category and expand its addressable market beyond its existing infrastructure, steel, industrial and construction applications.

The MoU with XCMG is valued at approximately ₹125 crore and represents a major addition to Trishakti’s equipment fleet. The company expects the crane to support its strategy of building a modern fleet of high-utilisation equipment for India’s growing infrastructure and renewable energy markets.

Trishakti currently operates a fleet of more than 150 machines and has served over 100 clients across 25-plus industries. The company has reported 100% fleet utilisation and cumulative capital expenditure of more than ₹270 crore through Q1 FY27. Its Annual Recurring Revenue has crossed ₹72 crore, providing a base for further expansion into specialised equipment categories.

Commenting on the development, Dhruv Jhanwar, Chief Executive Officer, Trishakti Industries Limited, said, “India’s wind energy market is witnessing a structural acceleration, with the Government targeting 100 GW of installed wind capacity by 2030 and the sector recording a record 6.1 GW of additions in FY26.” He added that as wind turbines become larger and taller, demand for specialised lifting solutions of 900 tonnes and above is expected to increase, creating an opportunity for Trishakti to expand its presence in the segment.

The company expects India’s renewable energy expansion to drive demand for heavy equipment at wind project sites. The growth in turbine size and installation requirements is likely to make high-capacity cranes increasingly important for project developers and contractors. The planned fleet addition is also expected to diversify Trishakti’s revenue opportunities and strengthen its position in the specialised equipment rental market.

Trishakti Industries Limited provides heavy equipment rental services for infrastructure, steel, industrial, renewable energy and large construction projects across India. The company continues to expand its fleet and capabilities to support the country’s infrastructure and industrial development.
