Trimble, a global construction technology company, demonstrated its connected construction and machine control technologies at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026, held from September 15-18 at the India Expo Centre. At the Trimble booth, authorised distribution partners Spry Technocon and SITECH India showcased how design, positioning, machine control and field analytics can operate as an integrated digital workflow for construction and infrastructure projects.
The demonstrations highlighted Trimble’s Connected Construction ecosystem across highway, road, mining and marine applications. The solutions connect digital design data with field equipment and provide real-time information to support project execution and decision-making.
The showcase comes as India advances the adoption of automated and intelligent machine-aided construction (AI-MC) technologies on major highway developments following the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) August directive. Spry Technocon and SITECH India are supporting contractors and infrastructure stakeholders with technology integration and field-level implementation.
John Whitehead, Vice President of Sales, APAC, Trimble, said, “We are witnessing India undertake infrastructure projects of unprecedented scale and complexity. Keeping pace with this development, technology is evolving from simply controlling individual machines to connecting the entire construction workflow. Trimble’s Connected Construction approach brings together the digital and physical aspects of construction, while our growing engineering and innovation capabilities in India demonstrate our long-term commitment to the market.”
Vivek Bansal, CEO, Spry Technocon, said, “Trimble’s technologies are being implemented on the ground by Spry Technocon, which brings technical expertise and a field-level understanding of construction challenges to translate Trimble’s ecosystem into real project outcomes. Be it highways, roads, or marine infrastructure, our technical and support teams bring the hands-on experience required to implement the right Trimble solution for each application, ensuring smooth deployment and maximum uptime.”
Across highway and road projects, the partners have deployed Trimble Grade Control, Paving Solutions, Compaction Solutions and Trimble Earthworks systems. These technologies deliver 3D digital design data directly to heavy machinery, supporting precise excavation, grading, paving and compaction.
Trimble solutions are currently deployed through its partners across four major road infrastructure projects. These include the 43.2-km NH-146B Sandalpur-Nasrullaganj Bypass in Madhya Pradesh, with an approximate project value of ₹881 crore; the 12.66-km NH-516C Visakhapatnam Port Connectivity project in Andhra Pradesh, valued at approximately ₹554 crore; the 7.02-km Nashik Ring Road in Maharashtra, with an approximate project value of ₹625 crore; and the Thatchur-Punnapakkam to Thiruvallur Bypass Greenfield Highway in Tamil Nadu, a six-lane greenfield highway project.
A key highlight at the booth was an AI-MC-enabled compaction solution engineered in India, which Spry Technocon and SITECH India are delivering to local contractors and infrastructure stakeholders. The partners are supported by Trimble’s 300,000 sq. ft. Chennai R&D centre, focused on cloud, AI and analytics capabilities, along with localized service, training and technical support.
