Transworld Shipping Lines Limited, formerly known as Shreyas Shipping and Logistics Limited, has announced its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025. The company reported a challenging quarter amid continued volatility in global shipping markets, particularly in container freight rates.

While certain trade routes showed signs of stability toward the end of the year, market conditions remained influenced by geopolitical tensions, uneven consumer demand, and economic uncertainty in major economies. The Shanghai Containerized Freight Index stood at 1,656 points in December 2025, reflecting a year-on-year decline, though Indian coastal container trade remained steady due to stable domestic demand and infrastructure development. The dry bulk segment, supported by stronger commodity movement and limited vessel availability, maintained comparatively firm conditions.

The company currently operates a fleet of 12 vessels, including 10 container feeder vessels and two dry bulk carriers. Container vessels continue to operate on charter with Avana Logistek Limited, making charter income the primary revenue source.

During the quarter, dry bulk vessels carried general cargo in global markets. Operating costs increased as four container vessels approached the end of their service life, requiring higher maintenance and repair spending. Some vessels also faced operational disruptions because of machinery and structural issues, affecting earnings and reserves.

The company is exploring options to replace aging vessels, though high acquisition costs and limited availability of suitable ships remain challenges. Transworld also completed the acquisition of 100 percent equity in Transworld Integrated Logistek Private Limited and Transworld Logistics Private Limited, strengthening its position in integrated logistics services.

For the third quarter of FY26, consolidated revenue was ₹132 crore compared with ₹165 crore in the same quarter last year. EBITDA stood at ₹8 crore versus ₹47 crore, while the company reported a loss before tax of ₹24 crore compared with a profit of ₹15 crore a year earlier. Net loss for the quarter was ₹25 crore compared with a profit of ₹15 crore in Q3 FY25.

Compared with the previous quarter, revenue declined from ₹143 crore and losses widened due to higher expenses and operational challenges. Established in 1988, Transworld Shipping Lines is the Indian-flag vessel-owning arm of the Transworld Group and operates across domestic and international shipping routes, with a long-standing presence in India’s coastal container transport sector.
