Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL) has secured an order worth ₹273.24 crore (inclusive of GST) from Indian Railways for the design, manufacture, supply, testing and commissioning of Rail Borne Maintenance Vehicles (RBMVs). The contract also includes training of Indian Railways personnel, along with servicing and breakdown maintenance support.
This marks TRSL’s first order in the Safety and Signalling Systems segment from Indian Railways, representing a significant milestone in the company’s strategic expansion beyond rolling stock manufacturing. The RBMV is a specialised, self-propelled, on-track maintenance machine designed to support efficient inspection, maintenance and restoration of railway infrastructure. Equipped with advanced mechanised systems, the vehicle enables track maintenance, overhead equipment (OHE) works and other allied activities. The platform is engineered to enhance operational safety, accuracy, reliability and asset availability across the railway network.
The maiden order underscores TRSL’s successful entry into a high-value, technology-intensive and safety-critical domain.
