Teledyne e2v, a Teledyne Technologies company and developer of imaging solutions, has introduced Perciva™ ToF, an industrial-grade 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera designed for applications including logistics, robotics, inspection and surveillance. The camera combines depth sensing, on-camera processing and flexible integration for use in demanding industrial environments. It is powered by Teledyne e2v’s Hydra3D™+ CMOS image sensor, which provides an 832 x 600 pixel resolution and incorporates the company’s patented HiRho technology.
HiRho technology is designed to increase FFxQE at near-infrared wavelengths while maintaining modulation transfer function (MTF) and modulation contrast. The camera uses a 10 µm three-tap pixel architecture to capture more light, supporting longer operating distances and detection of low-reflectivity materials.
The technology is also designed to capture fast-moving objects without motion artefacts, enabling 3D measurements in high-speed industrial applications. This can support applications where accurate depth information is required in real time. Perciva ToF is designed to operate in challenging conditions, including changing outdoor illumination and interference from other systems. The camera does not require interconnecting cameras for operation.
Factory calibration and embedded processing are intended to simplify system integration. The camera provides depth maps and point cloud data directly through its GigE interface, reducing the processing requirements for connected systems. Its industrial design and embedded processing capabilities are aimed at helping developers and system integrators deploy 3D vision systems in applications that require consistent depth measurement and real-time performance.
Teledyne e2v will demonstrate Perciva ToF at VISION 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany, from October 6 to 8. The company will exhibit the camera and its imaging technologies in Hall 8, Booth 8B10. Documentation and samples of Perciva ToF are available upon request.
Teledyne Vision Solutions brings together industrial and scientific imaging technologies from Teledyne DALSA, Teledyne e2v CMOS image sensors, FLIR IIS, Lumenera, Photometrics, Princeton Instruments, Judson Technologies, Acton Optics and Adimec.
