Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting and business solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company behind the Claude family of AI models, to help enterprises accelerate large-scale AI adoption and unlock measurable business outcomes. The alliance establishes TCS as a Global Premier Partner within Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network and is designed to help organizations move beyond experimental AI initiatives toward enterprise-wide deployment.

By combining Anthropic’s advanced AI capabilities with TCS’ deep industry expertise, consulting services and large-scale implementation experience, the partnership aims to deliver practical AI solutions for organizations operating in complex and highly regulated environments. As part of the collaboration, TCS will create a dedicated business unit focused on developing industry-specific AI offerings, expanding expertise around Claude models and delivering transformation programs that address operational, customer experience and modernization challenges.

A significant component of the initiative involves workforce enablement. TCS plans to equip 50,000 employees across engineering, finance, legal, marketing and sales functions with access to Claude-powered tools. The deployment will allow teams to enhance productivity, improve decision-making and gain firsthand experience in applying AI technologies across business operations.

The partnership will focus on sectors where governance, compliance and reliability are critical, including financial services, healthcare, life sciences, aviation, telecommunications, public services and medical technology. Together, the companies will develop solutions that integrate AI into domain-specific workflows while maintaining the transparency and oversight required by highly regulated industries.

TCS will also extend Claude’s capabilities into its own platforms and business operations. Diligenta, TCS’ regulated life and pensions business in the United Kingdom, plans to utilize AI-driven process transformation initiatives aimed at improving customer experiences. Additionally, TCS product and platform teams are expected to leverage AI-assisted software engineering tools to enhance development efficiency and operational performance.

Beyond enterprise applications, the partnership will support skills development initiatives through TCS iON, which conducts millions of assessments annually across India. The collaboration will introduce specialized learning and certification programs focused on Claude technologies, helping prepare professionals and students for future AI-driven careers.

K Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS, said the partnership combines advanced AI capabilities with engineering expertise and industry knowledge to help organizations achieve transformation at scale. Anthropic Co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei emphasized that the collaboration strengthens the company’s commitment to expanding AI adoption globally while supporting India’s growing role in the AI ecosystem.

Founded in 1968, TCS operates across 56 countries with a global workforce supporting clients across industries worldwide. The company continues to focus on AI-led digital transformation initiatives spanning infrastructure, data platforms, enterprise systems, and intelligent business operations.
