Tex Year Group, Taiwan’s first publicly listed producer of hot melt adhesives and a long-standing player in the Indian market, has begun mass production at its second plant in the Mahad Industrial Area, Maharashtra. The launch marks a major step in the company’s expansion strategy and strengthens its commitment to supporting India’s “Make in India” vision.

The Mahad facility, now operational under Tex Year Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., begins with three primary production lines in its first phase. This addition boosts the company’s total adhesive manufacturing capacity in India from 3,400 tons to 10,000 tons per year, significantly enhancing its ability to meet rising demand across India and nearby markets. With this expansion, Tex Year consolidates its position as a key player in the hot melt adhesive sector across South Asia.

Since entering India in 2013 as the first Taiwan-listed hot melt adhesive company to establish local production, Tex Year has combined Taiwan’s R&D strengths with India’s manufacturing capabilities. This approach has enabled the company to deliver high-performance, application-specific adhesive solutions supported by an integrated supply chain spanning production, procurement, and marketing.

In line with “Make in India,” Tex Year applies its GPSTM Green Platform Strategy to supply sustainable hot melt, PUR, and water-based adhesives across sectors such as packaging, personal hygiene, furniture, mattresses, home appliances, automotive interiors, EVs, and electronics. Its low-odor, high-performance water-based adhesives for the mattress industry have earned strong customer acceptance, while its expanded hot melt portfolio caters to diverse industrial applications. Trial runs in the new facility focus on refining formulations, increasing production agility, and offering cleaner, more efficient solutions that contribute to plastic reduction and circular economy goals.

As part of its “Greater India Strategy” — built around “Deployment × Expansion × Synergies” — Tex Year aims to establish India as a central hub for South Asia and surrounding high-growth markets. The Mahad facility is set to evolve into a benchmark plant for green material production, helping customers in India and across the globe build stronger, more sustainable value chains.
