Sunita Tools Limited, a long-established name in the mould base sector and a growing participant in the Defence manufacturing space, has announced the acquisition of a second factory building on lease in Faridabad as part of its planned production expansion. The new facility will be dedicated to Line 2 for artillery shell manufacturing, and the company has already taken possession of the site.
Installation of key machinery and equipment will begin soon, with commercial operations targeted for October 2026 or earlier, depending on the timely arrival of three critical hydraulic presses from the supplier. This development represents a major step forward in the company’s Defence manufacturing plans and is expected to significantly increase output and reinforce its presence in the industry.
Commenting on the expansion, Sanjay Kumar Pandey, Whole Time Director, stated that the leasing of the new facility marks an important advancement in the company’s ability to scale artillery shell production. He added that the project is progressing ahead of schedule thanks to a timely infusion of loan funds from the directors, and reiterated the company’s commitment to meeting all project deadlines while strengthening its Defence manufacturing capabilities.
