SODILEVE has completed the installation of a 3.2-tonne Verlinde overhead crane fitted with a VM hoist for an industrial client in Western France, further strengthening its position as a specialist provider of lifting and material handling solutions across the region. The newly commissioned crane has been mounted on a load-bearing support structure supplied by SODILEVE as part of a turnkey solution covering equipment supply, installation and operational readiness. The identity of the client has not been disclosed.
The latest project reflects SODILEVE’s continued focus on delivering customised lifting systems for a wide range of industrial environments, where safe and efficient handling of materials is critical to daily operations. The company supports customers through the installation, servicing and maintenance of lifting, elevation and ergonomic handling equipment.
Jean Guichard, Manager at SODILEVE, said, “We are pleased to complete the installation of this 3.2-tonne VM hoist overhead crane from Verlinde, mounted on a support structure supplied by our team. We thank our client for their trust and confidence in our expertise.”
Based in Western France, SODILEVE serves multiple sectors including automotive, food processing, timber and wood products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, manufacturing and construction. The company designs and installs solutions that help improve productivity, operator safety and workflow efficiency in demanding industrial settings.
The business operates under the SM3I Group, which was established in 2013 and has developed a broad industrial services platform across Western France. The group’s activities include trading, industrial services, material handling systems, storage solutions, ergonomic workstations, outsourcing support and metal fabrication.
According to company information, the SM3I Group served 32 departments in Western France during 2022 and completed more than 8,000 projects for businesses across the region. The group includes three operating entities: SMAI, SODILEVE and METALINOX.
The recent crane installation follows another completed project earlier this year. In March, SODILEVE commissioned a hollow steel profile bridge system with a lifting capacity of 250 kilograms, equipped with a Verlinde VX2 258 b2 hoist.
That bridge system offers hook coverage across an area measuring 8 metres by 8 metres and includes motorised travel and lifting functions. Operators manage the equipment using an X-Pair Conductix-Wampfler radio remote control, allowing wireless operation and improved handling convenience.
The company said continued investment in modern lifting systems and tailored engineering solutions remains central to its growth strategy as industrial customers seek safer and more efficient production environments. With increasing demand for reliable material handling equipment across manufacturing and logistics sectors, SODILEVE’s latest installation underlines the importance of customised overhead crane systems in improving plant productivity and operational safe
