Shree Refrigerations Limited (SRL), a manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC systems for defence applications, has extended CSR support to educational institutions in Karad and Devrukh in Maharashtra to strengthen digital learning and provide students with greater exposure to technology. The initiatives are focused on improving educational infrastructure and providing students with opportunities to learn about robotics, artificial intelligence, space science, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and other technology-based subjects.
As part of the first initiative, SRL extended CSR support to Janakalyan Pratishthan’s Saraswati Educational Campus in Karad. The support has helped upgrade the campus’s ICT Lab with more than 35 computers running Windows 11, giving students improved access to digital learning and computer-based education.
The campus has also been equipped with 15 smart classrooms featuring interactive panel boards and Learning Management Systems. The facilities allow teachers to use multimedia content and interactive tools during classroom teaching. Campus-wide Wi-Fi has also been provided to support online learning and access to digital educational resources.
SRL has also extended CSR support to the Srujan Science Centre established by Devrukh Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (DSPM) in Devrukh, Ratnagiri district. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the Centre’s educational facilities and expanding opportunities for students to learn through practical activities.
The Centre provides students with exposure to STEM education, robotics, artificial intelligence, electronics, 3D printing and space science. It also supports hands-on experimentation, allowing students to understand scientific and technological concepts through practical learning.
The initiative is particularly focused on students from rural and economically disadvantaged communities in the Konkan region. By providing access to technology and practical learning facilities, the programme aims to complement classroom education and help students develop skills relevant to higher education and future employment.
RG Shende, Chairman and Managing Director, Shree Refrigerations Limited, said, “We believe that empowering young minds with modern tools is key to building a stronger, more resilient future. The real value of investing in educational infrastructure lies in the doors it opens – nurturing better learning, deeper digital exposure, and practical skills for students in India. Through these initiatives, Shree Refrigerations remains deeply committed to supporting grassroots education and developing a skilled, confident, and future-ready generation.”
Shree Refrigerations Limited has around 35 years of experience in the refrigeration industry and has developed capabilities in advanced refrigeration and HVAC systems for the Indian Navy and strategic defence sectors. The company entered the defence sector less than a decade ago and has expanded its manufacturing and service capabilities since then. SRL was listed on the stock exchange on August 1, 2025. The company continues to focus on indigenous manufacturing and the development of refrigeration and HVAC solutions for critical applications in India.
