Schneider Electric Names Amit Sharma as Vice President – Power Products & Digital Energy for Greater India

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has appointed Amit Sharma as Vice President – Power Products and Digital Energy, Greater India Zone. He takes over from Nikhil Pathak, who retires after nearly 15 years of distinguished service that saw him contribute significantly to Schneider Electric’s growth and transformation across multiple business lines.

The leadership transition highlights Schneider Electric’s commitment to talent continuity and internal leadership development, reinforcing its focus on empowering employees to lead strategic business portfolios. Both Pathak’s legacy and Sharma’s appointment reflect the company’s long-term vision of positioning Greater India as a key centre for innovation and business growth.

In his new role, Amit Sharma will oversee end-to-end operations and profitability for the Power Products and Digital Energy business, driving Schneider Electric’s transformation and growth agenda across India and neighbouring markets. With nearly three decades of experience in both domestic and international roles, Sharma has led global marketing, digital transformation, and product development initiatives during his tenure in France with Schneider Electric’s Medium Voltage (MV) division.

He played a key role in developing the global MV AIS portfolio and advancing the “India for India” Power Systems initiative, which promotes market-specific innovation and collaboration between Indian and global R&D teams. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, he spent 14 years with ABB, contributing to several strategic projects across business segments.
