Schaeffler India, a prominent motion technology company, has stepped up its actions against counterfeit bearings and components, working to protect customers and the wider industry from unsafe and substandard fake products. In partnership with local authorities, the company’s Brand Protection team carried out major enforcement operations on November 4 and 7, 2025. Fake bearings pose significant threats to equipment performance, operational safety and customer confidence, prompting Schaeffler to intensify its monitoring and enforcement efforts. By collaborating closely with law enforcement, the company has been able to trace and shut down unauthorized supply chains dealing in counterfeit Schaeffler items.
The coordinated operation targeted five locations in Delhi, including three wholesale outlets in the Kashmiri Gate area and two storage sites in Priyadarshani Vihar and Old Gupta Colony. Thousands of counterfeit FAG wheel bearings, other ball bearings and fake packaging materials were seized. With police officials and Schaeffler representatives working together, the team was able to accurately identify and confiscate the counterfeit goods.
Schaeffler India is urging customers and partners to stay alert and verify authenticity before making purchases. Key steps to ensure genuine products include checking for unique labeling and scanning the two-dimensional barcode through the Schaeffler OriginCheck App; reviewing accurate branding details such as correct logos, fonts and laser-marked identifiers; and purchasing exclusively from authorized Schaeffler distributors to ensure product legitimacy.
