Sasken Technologies Limited has officially completed the acquisition of BORQS International Holding Corp, bolstering its position in the global product engineering and digital transformation space. This milestone follows Sasken’s earlier announcement in November 2024 regarding its plan to acquire Borqs Technologies Inc.’s ODM and software services business.
The deal represents a major step forward in Sasken’s growth strategy, specifically its “60x4x3” initiative aimed at accelerating innovation and expanding its presence across advanced technology domains. By integrating Borqs’ specialized know-how in embedded software and wireless solutions, Sasken aims to enhance its offerings in IoT, 5G, and connected consumer technology.
This acquisition supports Sasken’s broader vision of offering complete end-to-end product development solutions—from chip design to market-ready systems—by combining Borqs’ deep design capabilities with Sasken’s strengths in semiconductors, AI, and cybersecurity.
Key elements of the transaction include Borqs’ intellectual property assets, engineering talent, and software licenses. These will extend Sasken’s capabilities in industries such as automotive, semiconductors, consumer electronics, and high-tech sectors.
Borqs, known for its work in Android-based smart devices and IoT solutions, brings a team of over 300 engineers located across India and China. As a certified Google partner for Android and Android Wear, Borqs has longstanding partnerships with major chipset providers and a rich IP portfolio that will now support Sasken’s service expansion.
As part of the integration, Borqs India Managing Director and company co-founder Hareesh Ramana will join Sasken’s leadership team. He will lead the effort to embed Borqs’ technologies and solutions into Sasken’s broader service framework.
