Saint-Gobain Hosts “Innovation360 Day” to Foster Start-up Collaborations in Sustainable Construction

NOVA, the venture capital arm of Saint-Gobain, hosted its “Innovation360 Day,” an event dedicated to promoting collaboration between start-ups and industry leaders, with a special focus on sustainable construction and lighting solutions. The event served as a platform for discussing the latest advancements in construction technology, sustainability, and how partnerships can drive innovation in the sector.

Saint-Gobain, with a strong presence across 36 industrial sites and 85 manufacturing plants, has been at the forefront of developing light and sustainable solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of the Indian construction market. The company offers a wide range of locally manufactured products that include drywall gypsum partition boards, high-performance glazing, acoustic ceilings, insulation, custom design solutions for residential and commercial spaces, and an array of construction chemicals, such as waterproofing solutions and tile adhesives.

Sreedhar N, Senior Vice President and CEO of Saint-Gobain Asia Pacific and India, highlighted the company’s unique position in India, thanks to its state-of-the-art facilities and innovation center dedicated to creating solutions for local customers. He remarked, “This event allows us to build meaningful partnerships with the start-up ecosystem, which will enable us to introduce sustainable and futuristic solutions to the Indian construction industry while fostering innovation.”

The event featured several key highlights, including a panel discussion on accelerating the development of green building materials in India and a showcase of the milestones achieved through Saint-Gobain’s Open Innovation Program. Additionally, a collaborative report with Habitat for Humanity’s Terwilliger Centre for Innovation in Shelter, Villgro, and Terrarium was launched, summarizing the outcomes of discussions with industry representatives, government officials, academia, and research institutions across five Indian cities.
