RR Kabel, one of India’s foremost names in electrical wires and consumer electrical products, celebrated the winners of the fourth edition of its Kabel Star Scholarship Program at a special event in Pune. This initiative, which supports the educational aspirations of electricians’ children, has now completed four impactful years and reached a cumulative contribution of ₹4 crore.
The 2025 edition of the scholarship recognized nearly 1,000 students nationwide, including 81 recipients from Pune, who were honored at a ceremony held at Firodia Hall. Each student received ₹10,000 to aid their higher secondary education. In addition to the current awardees, top performers from the program’s second season were also felicitated and gifted laptops to support their ongoing academic pursuits.
Launched in 2022, the Kabel Star Scholarship was created to uplift children of electricians—fondly referred to by RR Kabel as ‘KabelDost’—and empower them to pursue higher education without financial constraints. Over the years, around 4,000 students across India have benefitted from the initiative.
The growing scale and reach of the program reflect RR Kabel’s continued dedication to community upliftment and educational empowerment. What began as a thoughtful support effort has evolved into a nationally recognized movement that has impacted thousands of families, providing not only financial aid but a source of pride and motivation for the children of hardworking professionals in the electrical trade.
KirtiKabra, Director at RR Global, addressed the gathering and shared her thoughts:
“At RR Kabel, our KabelDost have always been integral to our journey. This scholarship is more than just monetary support—it’s a way to unlock opportunities for the next generation. Every young mind deserves the chance to dream big and succeed, and it’s our privilege to help turn those dreams into reality.”
For many parents, the event was filled with emotion and pride, symbolizing the recognition of their hard work and the celebration of their children’s ambitions. The scholarship is a stepping stone for these students to chase careers of their choice, backed by the confidence that they are supported.
RR Kabel remains deeply committed to advancing educational opportunities and continues to explore ways to strengthen this initiative. The Kabel Star Scholarship not only reflects the company’s values but also its vision for a brighter, better-educated future for communities across India.
