Royal Enfield has introduced the Flying Flea C6, the first motorcycle under its new electric mobility brand, Flying Flea. The launch signals the company’s entry into the electric two-wheeler segment, with a focus on urban mobility and connected riding experiences.
The Flying Flea C6 draws inspiration from the original Flying Flea motorcycles of the 1940s, reimagined for modern city use. Designed to be lightweight, agile, and technology-driven, the motorcycle integrates advanced engineering with a rider-focused approach. Bookings for the model opened on April 10, with availability beginning at the brand’s first retail outlet in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. Deliveries are expected to commence by the end of May.
At the core of the Flying Flea C6 is a fully integrated electric platform that combines the motor, battery system, battery management system, and control software. This architecture enables seamless coordination between hardware and software, resulting in a responsive and intuitive riding experience.
The motorcycle offers a top speed of 115 km/h and delivers over 400 Nm of wheel torque, providing strong acceleration while maintaining stability. Weighing 124 kilograms, it is designed for easy handling in urban environments. Safety and rider assistance features include lean-angle sensing ABS, traction control, tip-over alerts, and live location sharing.
Powered by a 3.91 kWh battery, the Flying Flea C6 supports multiple charging options, including rapid, standard, and trickle charging through a standard wall outlet. The charging system is designed for convenience, enabling quick top-ups suited to city usage patterns.
Connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G integration, allowing riders to monitor and manage the motorcycle remotely. These capabilities support navigation, diagnostics, and real-time updates, enhancing the overall ownership experience.
The Flying Flea C6 is available in two colour options, Storm Black and Flea Green, and is priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), with an alternative Battery-as-a-Service model priced at ₹1.99 lakh. The rollout will take place in phases across select cities.
Company leadership described the launch as a significant milestone, aligning with Royal Enfield’s legacy while exploring new directions in mobility. The Flying Flea platform is expected to expand with additional electric models in the future, as the company builds its presence in the evolving electric vehicle market.
