RMH Systems, a leading provider of material handling, automation, packaging, robotics, and industrial scale solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Systems in Motion (SIM), a warehouse automation and material handling integrator based in Elgin, Illinois. The partnership brings together complementary capabilities to create a nationwide platform offering end-to-end automation solutions for manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and e-commerce operations.

The transaction marks RMH Systems’ third strategic expansion since partnering with Rotunda Capital Partners in February 2025. It follows the acquisition of Top Shelf Integrated Solutions earlier this year and represents another step in building a comprehensive automation business capable of supporting customers across every stage of their operations.

By combining RMH Systems’ expertise in manufacturing-focused material handling, packaging, robotics, and industrial solutions with Systems in Motion’s strengths in warehouse automation, the integrated platform will offer customers a single source for designing, implementing, and supporting complete automation projects. The combined capabilities will enable businesses to improve operational efficiency, increase productivity, and streamline supply chain operations.

Founded in 1996, Systems in Motion has established itself as one of the leading warehouse automation integrators in the United States. The company is recognised for its proprietary KOZ software platform and in-house engineering capabilities, delivering customised automation solutions for e-commerce, distribution, third-party logistics (3PL), manufacturing, and food and beverage companies. Its expertise in solving complex fulfilment challenges has helped it build long-term relationships with several leading enterprises across the country.

Tom Howard, Chief Executive Officer of RMH Systems, said the partnership significantly strengthens the company’s ability to deliver integrated automation solutions. He noted that Systems in Motion’s advanced warehouse automation capabilities, proprietary software, and experienced engineering team complement RMH’s established expertise in manufacturing and packaging systems. Together, the companies will provide customers with a complete automation offering that covers both production and distribution operations.

Scott Lee, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Systems in Motion, said the partnership opens new opportunities for growth while allowing the company to continue serving customers with innovative automation solutions. He added that access to RMH’s broader resources and complementary capabilities will enable the combined business to undertake larger and more complex automation projects across multiple industries. Scott Lee will continue to lead the Systems in Motion business and remain a significant shareholder in the combined company.

Ryan Aprill, Partner at Rotunda Capital Partners, said Systems in Motion represents the type of founder-led business that aligns with Rotunda’s long-term investment strategy. He added that the firm will continue supporting the combined platform with operational expertise and growth capital to accelerate expansion.

With nearly nine decades of experience, RMH Systems has built a strong reputation for delivering customised material handling, packaging, robotics, and automation solutions across a wide range of industries. The partnership with Systems in Motion further strengthens its position as a national provider of integrated automation solutions, helping customers modernise manufacturing and warehouse operations while meeting the growing demands of today’s supply chain and fulfilment environment.
