Ramco Systems has announced the successful go-live of its Aviation Suite at the Engine Maintenance Center of Korean Air, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s digital transformation journey. The implementation equips Korean Air with a scalable, future-ready platform designed to streamline complex maintenance operations, enhance productivity, and support the expansion of its advanced engine maintenance capabilities. The Ramco Aviation Suite enables seamless integration across key functions including Engine Maintenance, Finance, Customer Support, and Billing, ensuring improved collaboration and operational efficiency.
The solution also integrates with internal and external systems, including Korean Air’s Automated Storage Retrieval System, enhancing warehouse management and ensuring smooth connectivity with customers and suppliers through industry-standard technologies. This interoperability enables greater agility and scalability across operations.
A key highlight of the deployment is the provision of real-time operational intelligence. The platform delivers actionable insights into capacity utilization, production throughput, cost and revenue metrics, and overall financial performance, empowering leadership with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
In a major step toward digitalization, more than 400 mechanics and engineers at Korean Air are now using Ramco’s “Mechanic Anywhere” mobile application to perform maintenance tasks digitally. This shift eliminates manual bottlenecks, reduces delays, and optimizes workflows, leading to faster turnaround times and improved efficiency. The Aviation Suite will also play a crucial role in Korean Air’s upcoming engine maintenance cluster, scheduled to open in 2027 and expected to become Asia’s largest Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hub.
Chan Woo Jung, Senior Vice President and Head of Maintenance & Engineering at Korean Air, stated that the partnership reflects a strong commitment to innovation and operational excellence. He emphasized that adopting a digital-first approach will enable the airline to scale efficiently while meeting the increasing complexity of engine maintenance operations.
Sam Jacob, Executive Vice President and SBU Head – Aviation, Aerospace and Defense at Ramco Systems, highlighted that the collaboration sets a new benchmark for digital transformation in aviation maintenance, driven by real-time visibility, mobile-first workflows, and seamless system integration.
