PTC Industries Limited (“PTC”), a long-established producer of high-precision cast components and advanced materials for demanding industrial applications, has begun a large-scale expansion of its investment casting plant in Mehsana, Gujarat. With global supply networks shifting and manufacturers seeking diversified and dependable production locations, India is gaining prominence as a centre for precision engineering. This shift is creating new export opportunities in industrial castings, prompting PTC to strengthen and modernise its Mehsana operations to meet increasing international requirements.

The expansion programme will raise output several-fold over the coming years and introduce highly advanced machinery, robotics, and automated fettling systems. These additions are designed to boost productivity, consistency, and processing speed while maintaining stringent quality standards and lowering the plant’s environmental impact.

Situated on a 17-acre site, the Mehsana plant is one of PTC’s key manufacturing hubs for precision and industrial cast products supplied to global OEMs across diverse sectors. The latest project will bring over 50,000 sq. ft. of added floor space and significantly broaden machining and casting capabilities.

Sharing his perspective on the development, Sachin Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director of PTC Industries Ltd, said, “Manufacturing worldwide is undergoing a major transition, creating a strong window for India to position itself as a reliable supplier of complex, high-accuracy parts. Our investment in Mehsana aligns with this shift—enhancing PTC’s capacity, technology, and ability to support international customers. This phase of growth strengthens our vision of building one of the most advanced casting sites in the country.”

PTC recently held a groundbreaking ceremony at the Mehsana location, attended by senior leadership and employees. The upgrade strengthens the company’s long-term ambition to develop a technologically integrated manufacturing ecosystem covering its industrial, aerospace, and defence portfolios.

The Mehsana unit is an established centre for producing specialised castings and machined components for various industrial uses. It supports clients in India and overseas, complementing the company’s primary aerospace and defence facilities in Uttar Pradesh. The plant has been instrumental in supplying high-performance parts, particularly in stainless steel and special alloy categories.

PTC Industries Limited has over six decades of experience in manufacturing precision metal components for critical applications. Through Aerolloy Technologies Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary, the company supplies titanium and superalloy castings for aerospace customers globally and domestically. PTC is also in the midst of a major investment in its Strategic Materials Technology Complex (SMTC), an advanced hub that will produce aerospace-grade titanium and superalloy materials, supported by modern foundries and machining lines for near-net-shape components.
