Oswal Pumps Limited, a leading manufacturer of pumping solutions and solar-powered water management systems in India, is pleased to announce that it has received a Letter of Empanelment (LoE) from the MSEDCL for the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of an additional 6,500 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS). This empanelment has been awarded under Component-B of the Pradhan MantriKisanUrja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme, implemented in Maharashtra as the “MagelTyala Saur Krishi Pump” Yojna.
The total estimated value of the project is approximately ₹180 Crore (Rupees One Hundred Eighty Crore only), including GST, and the entire scope of work is to be executed within a period of one (1) year. The additional allocation of 6,500 off-grid solar pumps further strengthens Oswal Pumps’ position as a key contributor to India’s renewable energy and sustainable agriculture initiatives.
The empanelment reflects the Company’s proven technical expertise, strong manufacturing capabilities, and successful execution track record in delivering large-scale solar pumping solutions under government-led schemes. Under the terms of the empanelment, Oswal Pumps will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project, including design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and after-sales service support of the solar pumping systems, in accordance with the specifications and guidelines prescribed under the PM-KUSUM B Scheme.
These off-grid DC solar water pumping systems will enable farmers across Maharashtra to access reliable and cost-effective irrigation solutions powered entirely by clean solar energy. The project is expected to deliver significant benefits by reducing farmers’ dependence on grid electricity and diesel, lowering irrigation costs, improving agricultural productivity, and contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.
It also supports the broader objective of easing the subsidy burden on electricity distribution companies while promoting decentralized renewable energy adoption. This empanelment is expected to positively contribute to Oswal Pumps’ order book and revenue visibility while reinforcing its long-term growth strategy in the solar pumping and renewable energy sector.
