Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited, one of India’s leading building materials companies, has reported consolidated revenue of ₹2,790 crore for the second quarter of FY27, marking a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 13.5%. The company recorded an EBITDA of ₹411 crore, up 11% YoY, while Profit After Tax (PAT) increased 78% to ₹65 crore. Consolidated cement sales volume stood at 4.7 million metric tonnes (MMT), reflecting a 9% increase over the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The results reflect the company’s focus on operational efficiency, product premiumisation and geographical mix optimisation amid challenging market conditions. Despite intense and erratic rainfall across key markets, disruptions in regional and global logistics and supply chains, and elevated input costs arising from geopolitical uncertainty, Nuvoco maintained growth across its key financial indicators.
Commenting on the performance, Jayakumar Krishnaswamy, Managing Director, Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited, said, “Q2 FY27 was a testament to resilient execution in a challenging operating environment. Despite intense and erratic rainfall in our key markets, global and regional logistics and supply chain disruptions, and elevated input costs stemming from ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, the Company delivered strong YoY growth in Revenue, EBITDA, and PAT. Our performance reflects the strength of our strategic levers of premiumisation and geographical mix optimisation, which helped realisations amid muted cement prices.”
During the quarter, the company commissioned a 2 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) grinding unit at its Limla Cement Plant in Surat, Gujarat. The additional capacity strengthens Nuvoco’s manufacturing presence in Western India and represents a significant milestone in its ongoing expansion programme. The commissioning also reinforces the company’s confidence in completing the remaining modules of the Vadraj Cement Project at Kutch and Sachana within the planned timelines.
The company is targeting a total cement manufacturing capacity of 35 MMTPA by FY28, representing nearly 15-fold growth from its initial capacity of 2.3 MMTPA at Nimbol, Rajasthan. Having completed a decade in the cement business, Nuvoco has expanded from a single manufacturing operation into a diversified building materials enterprise with interests in cement, ready-mix concrete and modern building materials.
As part of its sustainability and cost-efficiency initiatives, Nuvoco has partnered with CleanMax to develop a 46.4 MW wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project in Rajasthan. Once operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 100 million units of renewable electricity annually. It is also expected to reduce dependence on conventional power sources, improve energy cost predictability and strengthen the company’s renewable energy mix across its Rajasthan operations.
Looking ahead, Nuvoco will continue to focus on operational excellence, premiumisation, supply chain optimisation and the timely execution of its expansion projects. The company remains committed to strengthening its market presence and improving long-term operational efficiency while navigating evolving macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions.
