Milky Mist Dairy Food Limited (NSE: MILKYMIST; BSE: 544868) reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue for Q2 FY27, supported by demand across its dairy portfolio, growth in value-added products and expansion of its protein-focused range. The company announced its unaudited consolidated results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026.
Revenue from operations increased 41.6% year on year in Q2 FY27, while EBITDA grew 53.9%. Revenue, gross profit and EBITDA all reached new quarterly highs, according to the company. Growth was supported by higher sales volumes, increased consumption of value-added dairy products, market expansion, improved capacity utilisation and operational efficiencies.
For the first half of FY27, revenue from operations rose 42.5% year on year and EBITDA increased 62.9%. Profit after tax grew 308.4% during the same period. The company attributed the improvement in profitability to EBITDA expansion, loan repayments and the recognition of a deferred tax asset in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Dr K Rathnam, Wholetime Director and Chief Executive Officer of Milky Mist Dairy Food Limited, said the company had achieved revenue growth and improved margins despite agricultural inflation, the effects of El Niño and geopolitical uncertainty. He attributed the performance to its broad value-added product portfolio, calibrated price increases, capacity utilisation and operational improvements.
Yogurt remained the company’s fastest-growing category in Q2 FY27. Milky Mist continued to expand capacity and strengthen its protein portfolio during the quarter, introducing Skyr and Greek Yogurt in four-pack formats. These launches followed the introduction of High-Protein Paneer Cubes in Q1 FY27.
The company has also expanded its protein-focused range with high-protein lactose-free milk produced at its existing manufacturing facilities. The additions form part of its strategy to increase the contribution of value-added dairy products and respond to changing consumer preferences for protein-rich foods.
Milky Mist said it would continue to expand its product portfolio, distribution network and manufacturing capacity to meet demand. The company also plans to strengthen milk procurement and broaden its market presence while maintaining a focus on profitable growth.
Its operating strategy includes improving capacity utilisation, expanding distribution and increasing the contribution of products that offer greater value addition. The company expects these measures to support growth across its dairy categories as it develops its presence in packaged foods. The Q2 performance comes amid cost pressures affecting agricultural inputs and uncertainty in global markets. Milky Mist said its product mix, pricing measures and operating efficiencies helped support margins during the period.
