Milky Mist Dairy Food Limited has reported strong financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, with revenue from operations rising 43.6% year-on-year to Rs 973.45 crore. The company said growth during the first quarter of FY27 was broad-based, with most categories delivering higher sales. Strong demand during the extended summer season, particularly in southern India, supported the performance of ice cream, curd and yogurt.

Paneer remained the company’s largest revenue contributor, recording 34% year-on-year growth. Cheese sales increased 38%, while the curd category grew 27% during the quarter. Ice cream revenue increased 60% compared with the same period last year. Yogurt was the strongest-growing category, with revenue increasing 153% year-on-year. The company attributed the overall performance to continued product and process innovation, the introduction of new product variants and expansion into existing and new markets.

Milky Mist said its gross profit improved during the quarter, supported by higher volumes, a better product mix and its ability to manage pricing. Operational efficiencies also contributed to EBITDA growth and an improvement in EBITDA margin. As part of its manufacturing expansion, the company commissioned a new Cheddar Cheese Plant during Q1 FY27. The facility has an installed production capacity of 120 metric tonnes per day. The investment is expected to support the company’s growing cheese business and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities.

Dr K Rathnam, Wholetime Director and Chief Executive Officer, Milky Mist Dairy Food Limited, said the company has started FY27 on a strong note. “We have started FY27 with a strong performance, with Revenue from Operations growing 43.6% year-on-year to Rs. 973.45 crore in Q1 FY27. The gross profit expansion was primarily driven by higher volume growth, improved product mix and pricing ability,” he said. Dr Rathnam added that the company will focus on profitable growth during FY27 through portfolio expansion, operational discipline and investments in manufacturing and distribution.

Milky Mist plans to expand its value-added food portfolio, strengthen its brands and distribution network and increase its presence across markets. The company also intends to improve operating efficiency while balancing investments for future growth with disciplined financial management.
