MIC Electronics Limited has secured a series of orders from multiple zones and production units of Indian Railways for the supply of Electronic Location Units (ELU), with a total contract value of approximately ₹1.53 crore. The orders have been issued by several railway zones and establishments over the past one to two months and reflect the continued collaboration between MIC Electronics and Indian Railways in the development of modern railway communication and passenger information systems.

The contracts involve the supply of both ELU Type-I and ELU Type-II units, which are key electronic components used in railway communication infrastructure. These units play an important role in enabling communication and coordination between railway stations, onboard systems, and operational control centres.

The orders have been awarded by various railway divisions and manufacturing facilities, including Southern Railway (Golden Rock), Central Railway (Matunga), Western Railway, Northern Railway, North Western Railway, South Central Railway, South Eastern Railway, North Eastern Railway, North Central Railway, East Coast Railway, Eastern Railway (Liluah) and the Integral Coach Factory (ICF). The combined order volume covers approximately 5,400 ELU units, which will be delivered in phases between March 2026 and April 2027, depending on the operational requirements of each railway division.

The contracts were awarded through competitive tender processes conducted across multiple railway zones. The successful bids highlight MIC Electronics’ ability to meet Indian Railways’ technical standards and supply requirements.

Electronic Location Units are essential elements within railway communication and passenger information systems. These systems support the coordination of onboard announcements, passenger display systems, and other communication functions that contribute to smoother railway operations and improved passenger information services.

Commenting on the development, Rakshit Mathur, Chief Executive Officer of MIC Electronics Limited, said the orders demonstrate the continued trust that Indian Railways places in the company’s engineering capabilities and product reliability.
