Mahindra’s Truck and Bus business has announced the 12th edition of its flagship CSR initiative, Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan, under which it will award 1,000 scholarships of ₹10,000 each to daughters of truck drivers who have cleared their Class X examinations and are pursuing higher studies. Since its launch in 2014, the programme has supported the education of 11,029 girls across the country.

The initiative recognises the determination of truck drivers who prioritise their daughters’ education and aims to help young women continue their academic journey beyond secondary school. Mahindra was among the first commercial vehicle manufacturers to introduce a dedicated scholarship programme for truck drivers’ daughters.

The selection process for the 12th edition will be conducted through outreach programmes at more than 75 transport hubs across India. Applications will be evaluated through a clearly defined, transparent, and independent selection mechanism to identify eligible candidates.

Commenting on the announcement, Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks, Buses & Construction Equipment and Member of the Group Executive Board, said the initiative goes beyond financial assistance by creating opportunities for young girls to build a better future and contribute meaningfully to society and the economy.

Dr Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Trucks, Buses & Construction Equipment, Mahindra Group, said the company’s continued commitment to Saarthi Abhiyaan reflects its focus on encouraging education, aspiration, and long-term social impact among the families of truck drivers.

Each selected student will receive the scholarship amount through a direct bank transfer along with a certificate of recognition. Felicitation ceremonies for the 1,000 scholarship recipients will be held between February and March 2026 at select locations, hosted by Mahindra Truck and Bus leadership.
