Strengthening its footprint in western India, Mahindra’s Truck and Bus division has inaugurated a modern 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) dealership in Kolhapur in partnership with Mauli Trucking Pvt Ltd. The new facility reflects the company’s continued investment in customer support infrastructure following sustained growth in volumes over the past four years.
The dealership is equipped with six service bays and is designed to handle more than six vehicles daily. In addition to service capabilities, the facility offers driver accommodation, round-the-clock roadside assistance, and AdBlue availability, ensuring uninterrupted vehicle operations for customers.
Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks, Buses & Construction Equipment, and Member of the Group Executive Board, highlighted the importance of network expansion in delivering consistent customer experience. He noted that Mahindra, along with SML, now operates over 200 3S dealerships and more than 400 service touchpoints across India. The company currently holds nearly 7% share in the trucks and buses segment and about 24% in the intermediate and light commercial vehicle (I&LCV) bus category, with plans to expand its share significantly over the next decade.
Dr Venkat Srinivas, Business Head for the division, emphasized the company’s strong focus on customer value. He pointed to offerings such as fuel-efficient vehicle platforms and the iMAXX telematics system, which enables fleet operators to monitor performance, vehicle health, and driver behaviour in real time. He added that Mahindra continues to expand its service network and after-sales support to enhance overall ownership experience.
Mahindra’s commercial vehicle range—including BLAZO X, FURIO, OPTIMO and JAYO—comes with dual service assurances. These include a commitment to return vehicles to operation within 48 hours or provide compensation, along with guaranteed turnaround times at workshops.
The company’s manufacturing operations are supported by advanced facilities, including a large-scale plant in Chakan, Pune, and another in Zaheerabad, Telangana. Its portfolio spans a wide range of applications such as transit mixers, bulk carriers, refrigerated trucks, and specialized logistics vehicles, tailored for Indian operating conditions. With a strong nationwide network that includes service points, spare parts outlets, and mobile workshops, Mahindra continues to focus on improving uptime, efficiency, and reliability for its commercial vehicle customers.
