KhetiBuddy Launches Verdnt to Build AI-Ready Enterprise SaaS Platform for Agri-Food Supply Chains

KhetiBuddy, a global agritech company working with agri-food supply chains, has announced the launch of Verdnt, a next-generation enterprise SaaS platform aimed at creating an AI-ready operating backbone for mid-to-large agribusinesses working across fragmented and multi-location supply chains. As agribusiness operations expand across dispersed farms, procurement networks and markets, many enterprises continue to operate with limited farm-level visibility.

This results in gaps in traceability, reduced ability to monitor production and climate risks and challenges in contract execution and compliance. Verdnt is designed to address these issues by acting as a unified data foundation that connects agronomy, operations and sustainability workflows into one enterprise layer.

The platform integrates farm-level data into enterprise decision-making across procurement, production planning, inventory operations and sustainability dashboards. By doing so, it enables businesses to move beyond after-the-fact reporting and adopt a more proactive approach to risk management and operational planning.

Targeted at mid-sized and large agri-food businesses, including food and beverage companies, agri-input firms and other enterprises where farm data plays a key role in compliance and operational performance, Verdnt is positioned as a system that supports consistent, auditable and traceable data flows from farms through to enterprise systems.

Its AI functionality has been layered onto an underlying platform that captures structured data across farm activities, sustainability parameters and workflow operations. This approach supports gradual adoption of AI for use cases such as decision support and risk identification, while ensuring outputs remain explainable and subject to human oversight. The AI models are trained using agronomic, climate and compliance datasets to maintain auditability and transparency.

Vinay Nair, Founder and CEO, KhetiBuddy, said Verdnt reflects the company’s long-term roadmap to integrate farm intelligence directly into core enterprise operations. He added that while agri-food ecosystems generate large volumes of data, much of it remains disconnected from business planning and decision-making, and Verdnt is built to close that gap.

Verdnt builds on KhetiBuddy’s enterprise deployments in segments including food companies, wineries and agri-input businesses, where the company’s tools have supported farm digitisation, compliance readiness and sustainability reporting. Pilots in North America and Europe have further demonstrated the platform’s ability to integrate farm and sustainability data into broader enterprise environments. KhetiBuddy is a Pune-based agritech company focused on digitising farming operations and agri-food supply chains, enabling traceable sourcing and better coordination across the value chain.
