Manufacturing-News

Kennametal is set to participate in the 11th International Mining, Equipment & Minerals Exhibition (IME 2025), taking place from October 30 to November 2 at the Science City Exhibition Grounds in Kolkata. During the event, the company will present its latest portfolio of high-performance tooling and wear-protection technologies engineered to enhance productivity, safety, and equipment longevity in mining operations.

At the exhibition, Kennametal will feature a wide range of earth-cutting tools, blocks, and complete systems designed to perform reliably in some of the toughest mining environments. Manufactured using the company’s proprietary tungsten carbide grades, these tools offer exceptional wear resistance, longer service life, and simplified maintenance across diverse cutting conditions. For surface mining applications, Kennametal will highlight its picks and block systems built to withstand highly abrasive geological formations, ensuring greater output and durability.

In the underground mining segment, Kennametal will showcase conical tools for continuous miners, road headers, crushers, and longwall shearers, along with block systems, bushings, and a full range of roof-support drilling solutions. The company’s display will also feature PlusPoint™ Conical Tools, made with an extra-tough tungsten carbide grade for superior performance; the Defender™ Round Drill Steel System, offering greater reliability in roof support operations; and tungsten carbide cutting edges tailored for motor graders. Additionally, KenCast™ wear-protection products—featuring a durable steel base combined with a tungsten carbide layer—will be presented for their proven ability to safeguard chutes, loaders, and other high-wear components from premature damage.

Recognized globally by OEMs and mining operators, Kennametal’s solutions are built to endure both standard and extreme working conditions, helping customers maximize uptime, protect key assets, and boost operational efficiency.
