Kaynes Semicon Pvt Ltd the flagship OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing) venture of Kaynes Technology India Ltd, has announced the strategic adoption of Synopsys’ engineering simulation software through the Ansys Channel Partner program in collaboration with Infinipoint Technologies, an Ansys Elite Channel Partner. The move is aimed at enhancing manufacturing quality, reliability, and technology leadership within India’s expanding semiconductor ecosystem.
As part of this initiative, Kaynes Semicon has integrated Synopsys’ multiphysics simulation tools into its research, development, and production workflows at its advanced facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The deployment supports simulation-driven engineering from early-stage design through product qualification, enabling comprehensive package optimization and improved reliability validation.
Under the engagement, Synopsys will provide advanced silicon design, intellectual property solutions, simulation and analysis platforms, and design services. These include production-proven software for semiconductor design, thermal management, electronics reliability assessment, and multiphysics evaluation of chips, 3D-ICs, and advanced packaging architectures.
Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon, stated that embedding advanced simulation into the company’s engineering framework marks a significant milestone in building globally competitive OSAT manufacturing capabilities in India. He noted that as semiconductor packaging grows increasingly complex, simulation-led workflows are essential to improving yield performance, accelerating development cycles, and ensuring reliability across high-growth segments such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, automotive electronics, and power devices.
Murali Pullela, Country Head (Simulation & Analysis) at Synopsys, said the collaboration reflects a shared objective of advancing world-class semiconductor manufacturing in India. He added that strengthening simulation capabilities at the OSAT level will contribute to improved product performance and support India’s ambitions as a global innovation and manufacturing hub.
Through the Ansys Channel Partner ecosystem, Kaynes Semicon will accelerate the deployment of advanced engineering simulation and electronic design tools across its operations. The integration is expected to streamline complex OSAT processes such as FC-QFN and System-in-Package (SiP), reduce implementation risks, and enable scalable simulation capabilities across teams.
By incorporating simulation-driven reliability early in the development lifecycle, the company is also advancing capabilities in multi-chip modules and photonics packaging. The initiative reinforces Kaynes Semicon’s commitment to strengthening India’s semiconductor manufacturing landscape while delivering high-reliability solutions to global markets across automotive, industrial, consumer, and AI-led applications.
