Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, reporting steady growth despite supply chain disruptions caused by geopolitical developments. The company’s Board of Directors approved the results, highlighting resilient business performance supported by strong demand across key industries.

For the first quarter of FY27, Jindal Stainless reported net revenue of ₹11,279 crore, an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period last year. EBITDA stood at ₹1,329 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) rose to ₹769 crore, reflecting year-on-year growth of 1.5% and 7.6%, respectively. The company’s consolidated net debt remained at ₹2,950 crore, with a healthy net debt-to-equity ratio of 0.14x.

The company continued to witness strong demand from sectors such as automotive, infrastructure, manufacturing, consumer goods, railways, power, and oil and gas. Sales of special-grade stainless steel products also increased during the quarter, supported by rising demand for premium applications. The Special Product Division, which includes precision strips, blade steel, mint products and coin blanks, delivered sequential growth.

During the quarter, operations were affected by temporary shortages of industrial gases due to the Middle East crisis. Jindal Stainless managed the situation by increasing the use of piped natural gas to reduce dependence on propane and LPG. While production was briefly moderated at some facilities, the company successfully maintained finished goods sales of 5,80,805 metric tonnes.

The company also continued to strengthen its sustainability initiatives. Greenhouse gas emission intensity at its Hisar plant declined by 12%, supported by energy-efficient equipment, waste heat recovery systems and cleaner fuel adoption. These measures contributed to improved energy efficiency and lower emissions across operations.

Jindal Stainless expanded its customer engagement programmes during the quarter. The Jindal Saathi initiative was extended to the kitchenware and sink categories, increasing its partner network to 198. The company’s loyalty programme crossed 100,000 registered fabricators and retailers, recording over 5.2 lakh QR code scans every month.

Innovation remained a key focus area as the company introduced new stainless steel grades for water purifiers, microwave ovens, razor blades and professional knives. It also advanced research on high-strength stainless steel for mobility applications and specialty nickel-based alloys for the energy sector through ongoing development and testing.

Under its Stainless Academy initiative, the company conducted 77 Fabricator Training Programmes across seven states, training 3,714 fabricators during the quarter. Technical education programmes were also expanded across engineering colleges and government polytechnics to build future industry talent.

Jindal Stainless accelerated its digital transformation by strengthening its Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling platform at the Hisar facility, achieving full adoption by operations and quality teams. The company is also implementing predictive analytics and Total Process Quality Control systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Commenting on the results, Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, said the company delivered a resilient performance despite a challenging operating environment marked by supply chain disruptions and changing global trade conditions. He added that continued investments in innovation, sustainability, digitalisation and value-added products are strengthening the company’s long-term growth prospects. He also expressed confidence that rising stainless steel consumption in India, driven by infrastructure, manufacturing and urbanisation, will continue to create significant growth opportunities for the company in the years ahead.
