The new premium electric coach was unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in the presence of Shri Nishant Arya, Chairman of JBM Electric Vehicles.
The latest GALAXY coach has been developed for premium intercity travel and is designed to offer greater passenger comfort while helping fleet operators improve efficiency and revenue. With the new launch, the GALAXY range is now available in three variants – seater, sleeper, and seater-sleeper – allowing operators to choose configurations based on different travel requirements.
The newly introduced seater-sleeper model offers two layout options. One variant features 22 Maharaja reclining seats, 20 sleeper berths and an onboard washroom, while the second provides 24 Maharaja reclining seats and 20 sleeper berths without a washroom. The coach also offers one of the highest passenger capacities and luggage storage spaces in its category, making it suitable for long-distance routes.
Built with a European-inspired design, the coach offers spacious interiors, panoramic windows, individual air-conditioning vents, reading lights, USB charging ports and generous legroom and headroom. The premium interior has been designed to improve comfort during long journeys and enhance the overall travel experience.
Safety has been a key focus in the development of the new coach. The vehicle comes equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Electronic Braking System (EBS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), hill-hold assist, live surveillance cameras, emergency exits and several other safety features designed to improve passenger protection during intercity travel.
The coach also includes electronically controlled air suspension along with kneeling and height adjustment functions that make boarding and alighting easier for passengers. It is powered by high-efficiency modular battery packs supported by fast-charging capability and regenerative braking technology to improve driving range and energy efficiency.

He added that the company remains committed to developing advanced electric transportation solutions that deliver both business value and an enhanced passenger experience.
