In a major step towards strengthening its logistics and maintenance capabilities in high-altitude regions, the Indian Army’s Fire & Fury Corps signed an agreement on 16 October 2025 with Airbornics Defence & Space Pvt Ltd (ADSL), a company under the JCBL Group. The partnership will lead to the creation of a dedicated maintenance and spare parts facility for next-generation military vehicles at the 14 Corps Zonal Workshop in Leh.

This collaboration is aimed at enhancing equipment availability and streamlining the support infrastructure for the Army’s modern fleet in Ladakh. The new facility will include both a repair centre and a warehouse to ensure timely servicing and supply of parts.

The agreement was formalized during a ceremony held at the 14 Corps Headquarters in Leh. Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, Corps Commander of 14 Corps, attended the event along with senior Army officials including Brig Nipoon Sood, Brigadier EME, who signed the MoU on behalf of the Army. Senior commanders from other divisions in Ladakh were also present.

Representing the JCBL Group, Raj Kumar Pandey (Director & CEO) and Col Rajwinder Singh (Retd), Chief Operating Officer of ADSL, took part in the signing. The event also saw participation from representatives of other major defence and industrial firms such as TASL, BFL, Polaris, JSW, and MDSL.

As part of the arrangement, ADSL will provide technical services, support for upgrades, training, and research inputs for the New Generation Vehicle ecosystem. The facility will stock critical and high-turnover spare parts for equipment supplied by the group to the Army, including items categorized under essential combat stores and equipment distributed through the Ordnance and EME supply chains.

Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, speaking at the event, emphasized that the initiative is a forward-looking measure to enhance 14 Corps’ operational preparedness. He urged Army units stationed in the region to make full use of the industrial logistics presence. The Army also announced plans to replicate this model in three additional forward locations within the 14 Corps area in the coming months.

Rishi Aggarwal, Managing Director of JCBL Group, expressed appreciation for the Army’s vision, stating, “We are honoured to work closely with one of the most active operational formations of the Indian Army.
