Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a major expansion of its AI-ready networking portfolio at HPE Discover Barcelona 2025, advancing its strategy to integrate Aruba Networking with newly acquired Juniper Networks. The company introduced new AI-driven software capabilities, unified network operations and new hardware designed to support rapidly growing AI workloads across enterprises, cloud environments and data centers.
The announcement marks a significant milestone in the integration of Juniper Networks, taking place only five months after the acquisition was finalized. Rami Rahim, Executive Vice President and General Manager of HPE’s networking division, stated that modern computing environments increasingly require networks built specifically for AI performance, security and automation. He added that the expanded platform positions HPE to challenge traditional industry models with autonomous, scalable infrastructure capable of supporting future digital ecosystems.
The expanded portfolio introduces a common AI and microservices framework across Aruba Central and Juniper Mist, allowing both platforms to function cohesively while preserving investment value for existing customers. The rollout includes the integration of analytics engines that can diagnose operational issues, predict disruptions and independently remediate network problems in real time. New Wi-Fi 7 access points compatible with both platforms were also introduced, ensuring technology continuity across deployment environments.
HPE also announced two new high-performance networking systems designed to support AI compute clusters and edge inference workloads. The HPE Juniper Networking QFX5250 switch is built on Broadcom Tomahawk 6 silicon and supports 102.4 Tbps of bandwidth for data-intensive AI training environments. In addition, the MX301 edge routing platform was introduced to support high-volume inference workloads with low latency performance for distributed environments.
Ahead of the event, HPE confirmed extensions of technology partnerships with NVIDIA and AMD to support the deployment of large-scale AI factories, including high-performance data center interconnect solutions and standards-based Ethernet designed for exascale training environments.
To accelerate customer adoption, HPE Financial Services unveiled new financing models, including zero-percent financing for networking AIOps software and a leasing program offering cost efficiencies for organizations replacing legacy networking systems. The program includes optional multi-vendor removal and resale support.
HPE stated that the expansion signals a significant step toward unified AI-powered IT operations, where automation and intelligence span compute, networking and cloud management systems. The company emphasized that its direction focuses on simplifying infrastructure complexity and enabling enterprises to run AI workloads reliably across hybrid environments.
