Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has launched the all-new Super Splendor XTEC 2.0, introducing a refreshed version of one of India’s most popular commuter motorcycles. The upgraded motorcycle combines improved fuel efficiency, advanced rider-focused technology and contemporary styling to strengthen Hero MotoCorp’s position in the highly competitive 125cc commuter segment.

The latest model is part of the company’s ongoing product revitalization strategy aimed at delivering practical mobility solutions with modern features for everyday riders. Built on the long-standing legacy of the Splendor brand, which has served millions of Indian customers since 1994, the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 has been designed to meet the changing expectations of urban and semi-urban commuters.

The motorcycle features a refreshed exterior design highlighted by dual-tone graphics, new XTEC 2.0 branding, premium 3D emblems and a stitched dual-textured seat. Additional styling elements such as rim tapes and a revised color palette contribute to a more premium and contemporary road presence. The model is available in five color options including Glossy Black, Candy Blazing Red, Matt Axis Grey, Matt Nexus Blue and Matt Chestnut Brown.

Powering the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 is a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine producing 10.7 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine has been tuned to deliver smooth acceleration, refined performance and reliable everyday usability across varied road conditions.

A major highlight of the new model is its claimed fuel efficiency of 72 kmpl, achieved through Hero MotoCorp’s Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection technology and the integrated i3S idle stop-start system. The motorcycle also incorporates an Integrated Starter Generator that enables quieter engine starts and smoother restarts during traffic stops, improving rider comfort in congested city conditions.

The Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 introduces several safety and convenience features aimed at enhancing the daily commuting experience. For the first time in the Super Splendor range, the motorcycle comes equipped with hazard lights for improved visibility during emergencies. It also features a front disc brake, handlebar-mounted engine kill switch and telescopic front suspension for improved control and ride comfort.

The motorcycle includes a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that displays call alerts, SMS notifications, caller identification, battery status, real-time mileage information and low fuel alerts. A USB Type-C charging port has also been added to support smartphone charging on the move.

Headquartered in New Delhi, India, Hero MotoCorp has maintained its position as the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer for 24 consecutive years, with operations spanning 52 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
