Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has officially entered the French market in collaboration with GD France, launching its Euro 5+ range led by the Hunk 440. This milestone marks the company’s 52nd international destination and a significant expansion in its European growth journey.

The French debut took place at the iconic UTAC Mortefontaine proving ground near Paris, a globally renowned vehicle testing and validation facility with a heritage dating back to 1956. The launch featured dynamic riding sessions and exclusive test rides of the Hunk 440, offering attendees an immersive experience of Hero’s engineering excellence. With over 24 years of leadership and a customer base exceeding 125 million riders, Hero MotoCorp continues to solidify its global footprint, setting new benchmarks in performance and reliability.

“Expanding into France strengthens our presence across Europe after successful operations in Italy, Spain, and the UK,” said Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President, Hero MotoCorp. “The Hunk 440 reflects our deep understanding of French motorcycling culture—delivering superior quality, advanced engineering, and an aspirational ownership experience.”

Hero MotoCorp’s Euro 5+ lineup, spearheaded by the Hunk 440, caters to the growing demand for high-performance motorcycles in France. Through its partnership with GD France, the company will establish an initial network of 30+ dealerships, expanding to over 50 by 2026, with full-scale coverage expected by 2028. The collaboration also includes a strong after-sales infrastructure, ensuring easy access to genuine parts, reliable service, and customer support across major French cities.

Ghislain Guiot, CEO of GD France, stated “We are delighted to join hands with Hero MotoCorp as they enter the French market. Together, we aim to deliver cutting-edge technology and exceptional value, ensuring a seamless experience for riders across the country.”

Hero MotoCorp’s global philosophy, “You Are Limitless,” celebrates riders who define their own paths with courage, resilience, and freedom. This spirit is reflected in the company’s success in motorsport, including becoming the youngest team to secure a Dakar Rally podium finish within just seven years.

The Hunk 440 embodies this philosophy — bold, confident, and designed for those who ride with purpose and passion. The Hunk 440 enters the competitive A2 performance segment, balancing everyday usability with exhilarating power. Its engine delivers 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, supported by a high-tensile steel trellis frame that ensures superior handling and stability.

Safety and technology features include dual-channel ABS with large 320mm front and 240mm rear discs, USD Cartridge Forks by KYB, a fully digital connected TFT display with navigation, all-LED lighting, and wide 150/60 ZR17 radial tyres. Priced at €3,599 (including VAT), the Hunk 440 is available in Twilight Blue and Phantom Black, offering riders a blend of performance, design, and practicality. Hero MotoCorp is backing its products in France with a standard 3-year warranty, extended by an additional 2 years as a launch offer, giving customers up to 5 years of coverage (T&Cs apply).
