HCLTech has entered into an agreement to acquire the Telco Solutions business from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), further strengthening its position as a key technology partner for global communication service providers. Building on a prior transaction completed in 2024, the acquisition will add proven intellectual property, advanced product engineering capabilities, and deep R&D expertise to HCLTech’s telecom portfolio.

The Telco Solutions business currently supports more than one billion devices through over 200 deployments worldwide, delivering capabilities across OSS, Home Subscriber Server, and 5G Subscriber Data Management, along with AI-enabled network automation for improved service monetization. The business was previously part of HPE’s Communications Technology Group, from which HCLTech had earlier acquired select assets. That portfolio—covering business support systems, network applications, cloud-native services, and data intelligence—has since been fully integrated and is showing strong growth.

With this expanded offering, HCLTech aims to accelerate network modernization initiatives, enable Network-as-a-Service models, and advance AI-driven autonomous networking for telecom operators. As part of the transaction, close to 1,500 telecom and engineering professionals across 39 countries are expected to join HCLTech’s global delivery organization.

Commenting on the development, Anil Ganjoo, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of TMT at HCLTech, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s ability to help service providers evolve into technology-led enterprises. He added that the integration of skilled talent and mature IP assets supports HCLTech’s shift toward higher-value, IP-driven services and scalable growth models.

Rami Rahim, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Networking at HPE, said HCLTech’s vision and execution capabilities will build on the Telco Solutions business’s strong customer base and delivery track record, creating long-term value for communication service providers as both companies pursue focused strategies within the telecom ecosystem. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and standard closing conditions and is expected to be completed within approximately six months.

HCLTech is a global technology company with over 226,600 employees across 60 countries. The company delivers services and products spanning AI, digital, engineering, cloud, and software, serving clients across industries including financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, telecom, media, retail, mobility, and public services. For the twelve months ended September 2025, HCLTech reported consolidated revenues of $14.2 billion.
