Godrej Industries Group today announced a new purpose and refreshed brand identity, marking a significant step in its growth journey as it aligns strategy, culture and long-term ambitions. The announcement was made at the Group’s headquarters, Godrej One, in Mumbai.

The new purpose, “Crafting tomorrow since 1897,” reflects the organisation’s legacy while reinforcing its forward-looking vision. Inspired by founder Ardeshir Godrej, the purpose underscores a commitment to combining innovation with strong values to create sustainable and lasting impact. The Group reaffirmed its core principles—Inspire Trust, Create Delight and Be Bold—as central to its approach across businesses.

Pirojsha Godrej stated that the renewed purpose highlights the importance of balancing growth with responsibility. He noted that the Group remains focused on building businesses that deliver both strong financial outcomes and positive societal impact.

The Group has reported robust growth over recent years, with sales and net profits increasing at over 20 percent annually over the past five years. Looking ahead, it has outlined ambitious targets, including annual sales growth exceeding 15 percent and earnings per share growth above 20 percent. The Group also aims to expand its portfolio from three to five publicly listed entities and achieve a combined market capitalisation of ₹5,00,000 crore by 2031.

Sustainability remains a key pillar of the Group’s strategy. Godrej Consumer Products and Godrej Properties were ranked number one globally in their respective categories on the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Sustainability Indices in 2025. Building on this, the Group has committed to achieving net-zero emissions in its operations by 2035 and developing a planet-positive supply chain by 2047. It has also set a goal to increase representation of women, LGBTQ+ individuals and persons with disabilities to 40 percent across the organisation within five years.

In parallel, the Group introduced a new brand identity developed by its in-house design team, DISCO. The refreshed identity features a modern visual language, custom typography, a distinct sonic signature and a proprietary fragrance, creating a cohesive experience across platforms and touchpoints. Tanya Dubash said the new identity strengthens the brand while enabling each business to align more closely with a shared purpose.

The Godrej Industries Group serves over 1.1 billion consumers worldwide through a diversified portfolio spanning FMCG, real estate, financial services, agriculture, and chemicals. With revenues of USD 6.1 billion in FY25 and a market capitalisation of approximately USD 20 billion, the Group holds leadership positions across multiple sectors. Through its Good & Green initiative, the Group remains committed to sustainability, with targets including net-zero operations by 2035 and responsible supply chains by 2047.
