Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) reported 19% year-on-year growth in consolidated sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, supported by underlying volume growth across India, Indonesia and Africa. Consolidated EBITDA increased 12%, while net profit rose 14% to ₹523 crore.
The company said sales growth was broad-based across its domestic and international businesses, despite subdued monsoon conditions in India and higher costs for crude-linked derivatives, palm oil and other raw materials. In constant-currency terms, consolidated revenue increased 15%.
GCPL’s standalone business recorded 13% sales growth, supported by underlying volume growth of 7%. The company estimated that trade inventory correction affected growth by around 150 basis points during the quarter. Management said maintaining healthy channel inventory remained important for improving distribution and ensuring that sales efforts focused on consumer demand.
Home Care delivered 19% value growth, led by air fresheners and home care liquids. The company also gained market share in household insecticides. Its electrical insect-repellent portfolio improved sequentially, supported by a new advertising campaign, while incense sticks continued to expand. Godrej Fab maintained double-digit growth, and Godrej Spic recorded repeat purchases following its national rollout in the first quarter.
During Q2, GCPL introduced Godrej Rizz in selected markets across western and southern India and launched Godrej Zap, a stain-removal product, online. The company said both launches had received a positive initial response. Personal Care recorded 8% value growth. Soap sales remained stable despite price increases and reductions in pack sizes. Premium liquid products continued to perform well, while Cinthol body wash and Muuchstac face wash progressed in line with the company’s plans. Hair colours continued to gain market share, and perfumes and deodorants recorded double-digit growth.
International operations also contributed to the quarterly performance. Indonesia sales increased 20% year on year, with underlying volume growth of 8%. EBITDA rose 12% despite a doubling of LPG prices. The company attributed part of the demand improvement in household insecticides to increased mosquito infestation associated with El Niño conditions.
The Africa, USA and Middle East (GAUM) business recorded 40% sales growth in rupee terms and 23% in constant-currency terms. Underlying volume growth reached 16%, while EBITDA increased 43%. The business delivered its seventh consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth and eleventh consecutive quarter of double-digit profit growth.
Aasif Malbari, Managing Director and CEO of GCPL, said the company had delivered strong performance across India, Indonesia and Africa, in line with its strategic priorities. He also noted the pressure from rising input costs. GCPL said it would continue to focus on volume growth, brand development, distribution and product innovation while managing cost pressures across its markets.
