Gabriel India Limited, the flagship company of the ANAND Group, has entered into a strategic joint venture with South Korea-based HL Klemove, marking its entry into the rapidly growing autonomous driving and automotive electronics segment. Under the agreement, Gabriel India will become a strategic shareholder in HL Klemove India Private Limited. The company will acquire a 30% less one share stake in HL Klemove India for US$98.44 million, or approximately ₹935 crore.
The partnership will allow Gabriel India to participate in the development, manufacturing and sale of advanced mobility technologies, including radar systems, front cameras, lidar, automated driving and parking control units with embedded ADAS software. The joint venture will also cover automotive electronic products such as brake electronic control units, steering ECUs, chassis control units and torque sensors.
The move comes as India’s automotive industry rapidly adopts technologies designed to improve vehicle safety, automation and connectivity.
