Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has secured additional orders worth ₹730 crore since its previous disclosure on August 10, 2026. The latest orders cover a wide range of defence and strategic electronics products and services. Major orders include communication equipment, radars, avionics systems, tank subsystems, electro-optics, cybersecurity solutions, perimeter security systems, medical electronics, electronic voting machines (EVMs), jammers, batteries, spares and associated services.
The new orders further strengthen BEL’s position as a key supplier of advanced electronics and systems for India’s defence and security requirements. The diverse order mix reflects the growing demand for indigenous technologies across communication, surveillance, electronic warfare, security and other critical applications.
BEL has been expanding its capabilities in advanced defence electronics to support the Indian Armed Forces and other government agencies. Its product portfolio covers a broad range of systems used across land, naval and air platforms, as well as strategic applications.
The latest business wins also underline the company’s continued focus on domestic manufacturing and technology development. BEL has been working with Indian research organisations, defence establishments and industry partners to develop and manufacture products that support the country’s self-reliance objectives.
The orders for communication equipment, radar and avionics will support critical defence applications, while orders for tank subsystems and electro-optical systems will contribute to enhanced capabilities for land-based platforms. Cybersecurity and perimeter security solutions will support the protection of sensitive infrastructure and installations.
The addition of jammers, batteries, spares and services to the order pipeline also demonstrates the breadth of BEL’s role across the defence equipment lifecycle, from supply of systems and components to maintenance and support. BEL continues to invest in research and development, manufacturing infrastructure and technology partnerships to address emerging requirements in defence and strategic electronics. The company is also strengthening its capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, electronic warfare, unmanned systems and advanced communication technologies.
The ₹730 crore order inflow adds to BEL’s business pipeline at a time when India is accelerating efforts to increase domestic defence production and reduce dependence on imports. With its extensive manufacturing base, engineering expertise and established relationships with the Indian defence sector, BEL remains focused on delivering advanced and reliable technology solutions for the country’s armed forces and strategic programmes.
