FPT Industrial, a renowned provider of powertrain solutions, has announced a significant partnership with Zhejiang Goodsense Forklift Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of forklift trucks based in China. The companies have signed a letter of intent to supply more than 5,000 F28 engines, belonging to the Stage V / Tier 4 Final emission category, to Goodsense Forklift over the next five years. The engines will be utilized to power forklift products intended for export to European and American markets, thereby presenting new opportunities for both companies.
This collaboration marks a major milestone for FPT Industrial, as it represents the successful introduction of the F28 engine series in the Chinese market. Furthermore, it serves as a breakthrough in the global market for forklift products. The F28 engines to be provided for Goodsense Forklift will be available in two versions: one with a power output of 43 kW and another with 55 kW. Despite its compact size of 2.8 liters, the engine offers performance equivalent to that of 3-4 liter engines. With its combination of compactness, high performance, and environmental friendliness, the F28 engines are ideally suited for goods handling machinery, perfectly meeting the application requirements of limited space and high productivity.
In terms of sustainability, the F28 engines comply with Stage V and Tier 4 Final emission standards and incorporate FPT Industrial’s remarkably compact after-treatment system. This innovative solution utilizes a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), enabling the engine to meet both European and North American emissions regulations while delivering consistent high power. Additionally, features such as easy one-side serviceability and extended oil-change intervals contribute to reducing total cost of ownership and maintenance expenses.
