Envalior, a global specialist in high-performance and sustainable engineering plastics, will make its first appearance at K 2025—the leading international trade show for plastics and rubber—taking place from October 8 to 15 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Visitors to Hall 6, Booth B11 will get a comprehensive view of Envalior’s broad product lineup, which spans Mobility, Electronics & Electrical, and Consumer Goods sectors, along with dedicated areas highlighting its Envalior CARES sustainability initiative and co-development services for customers.
The company will spotlight well-known brands such as Akulon®, Durethan®, Pocan®, Stanyl®, Tepex®, Xytron™, Arnitel®, ForTii®, and EcoPaXX®—featuring new and updated formulations designed to support faster development cycles, minimize environmental impact, reduce operational risk, and manage costs more effectively.
“We work closely with our partners, not just as a materials supplier, but as a co-developer,” said Calum MacLean, CEO of Envalior. “At K 2025, we’re proud to present our latest innovations—designed to help manufacturers meet performance goals while cutting time-to-market, carbon emissions, and overall production costs.”
Envalior is introducing a series of new material technologies designed to meet the evolving needs of modern manufacturing. Among the highlights is a halogen-free flame-retardant Pocan® PBT grade, which blends the strengths of PBT with those of PA6 and PA66. This innovative material is tailored for high-voltage EV charging infrastructure and advanced electronics, offering excellent dimensional stability, hydrolysis resistance, and electrical insulation even at elevated temperatures—qualities essential for next-generation mobility and power systems.
Also featured is the expanded Pocan® E portfolio, which offers superior tracking resistance with a CTI A rating of 600, enabling safer components in electric mobility and industrial applications. This high-performance capability extends even to dark-colored materials, which are traditionally more challenging to qualify. Envalior is also showcasing Stanyl® PA46, which facilitates ultra-thin stator insulation in electric motors—delivering higher efficiency without increasing physical size. Additionally, PFAS-free versions of Stanyl® are available, making the material suitable for wear-and-friction applications such as gears and seals.
In the consumer sector, Envalior is introducing new Arnitel® TPC foaming grades for shoe midsoles. These materials improve durability and support compatibility with a wide range of foaming processes, enhancing design flexibility. Bio-based options are also being presented as part of Envalior’s push to reduce carbon footprints in product manufacturing—offering both sustainability and performance to footwear brands and suppliers.
Under the Envalior CARES sustainability platform, the company is accelerating its efforts to provide an extensive lineup of bio-based and recycled material alternatives by 2030. These materials are developed to fit seamlessly into current manufacturing operations, serving as drop-in replacements without requiring performance trade-offs. New grades like Durethan® ECO and Durethan® BLUE contain up to 90% certified bio-based or recycled content, supporting more sustainable electronics manufacturing, including in miniature circuit breakers and connectors.
Additional innovations on display include breathable Arnitel® TPC films for food packaging and PA6 sausage casings derived from used cooking oil—both offering reduced environmental impact and improved product shelf life. Envalior will also showcase fully recyclable hydrogen storage tanks, made using advanced materials such as Durethan®, Akulon®, EcoPaXX®, and UDea™ composites, tackling the challenges of circularity in energy applications. Rounding out the lineup is a halogen- and PFAS-free flame-retardant Pocan® PBT, which delivers top-tier safety and compliance without compromising performance.
With increasing demand for shorter development cycles and higher-performance standards, Envalior’s engineering services provide customers with deep expertise across simulation, prototyping, material science, CAE, and sustainability. This integrated approach supports early-stage product design through to manufacturing, helping partners achieve “first-time-right” outcomes while reducing risk, development time, and emissions.
