Embraer will present two of its commercial aircraft—the E195-E2 and the E175—at Wings India 2026, scheduled to begin on January 28 in Hyderabad. The participation highlights Embraer’s continued focus on strengthening regional connectivity and promoting sustainable aviation solutions tailored to India’s rapidly evolving aviation market. Both aircraft are designed to offer optimal capacity and flexibility, enabling airlines to connect secondary and tertiary cities efficiently.
The E195-E2, which will be on static display, is recognised as the world’s quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft in its category. Featuring advanced aerodynamics, next-generation wing design, and new technologies, the aircraft delivers a 29% reduction in fuel burn and carbon emissions per seat compared to the previous generation E-Jets. With typical single-class seating for 132 to 146 passengers, it addresses the sub-150-seat market segment effectively.
India is expected to require more than 500 aircraft in the 80- to 146-seat category over the next two decades. The E2 family offers strong economics and is certified to operate with up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel, with engines already proven to run on 100% SAF, reinforcing Embraer’s sustainability commitment.
The E175, already part of Star Air’s fleet in India, is a proven regional jet with seating capacity of up to 88 passengers. Widely known for its reliability and performance, the aircraft dominates the US regional aviation market and has recently benefited from enhancements to avionics, cabin design, and passenger comfort.
Adity Shekhar, Regional Vice President – Sales, Embraer, said the E-Jet programme has played a key role in expanding regional connectivity worldwide and can unlock new growth opportunities for tier-two and tier-three cities in India.
Embraer is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial aircraft up to 150 seats, with more than 1,900 E-Jets delivered to over 80 airlines globally. In India, nearly 50 Embraer aircraft across multiple variants serve defence, government, business aviation, and regional airline operations. The company is also proposing its C-390 Millennium aircraft for the Indian Air Force’s Medium Transport Aircraft programme under a Make in India partnership. As the Aviation Innovation Partner for Wings India 2026, Embraer will showcase its full portfolio at Booth 9B, Hall B, reinforcing its commitment to supporting India’s aviation growth and sustainability goals.
