Dürr has launched the latest evolution of its low-pressure spray gun technology with the new EcoGun ACE pro, a model that has been redesigned from the ground up to offer improved comfort, reduced weight, and a simplified construction that boosts day-to-day reliability. The updated design aims to make handling easier while ensuring consistent performance across industrial applications.
The new version retains the proven capabilities of the previous model while reducing weight by nearly a quarter, making long working hours less tiring. A rapid color-change mechanism allows operators to switch shades within seconds without flushing, helping save time and reduce solvent use. The spray gun uses easy-to-swap nozzle inserts that deliver a uniform spray pattern and high material efficiency, whether for small production runs or frequent color shifts in sectors ranging from automotive refinishing to furniture, marine, and specialty coatings.
Dürr has also overhauled the operating features to give users better control. Larger, more intuitive adjustment components improve grip and precision. A redesigned rotary control replaces the earlier lever for managing spray air, reducing the chance of accidental movement and allowing full shutoff when needed. The upgraded air valve ensures accurate pressure settings from the moment the trigger is engaged.
To further support reliable use, the EcoGun ACE pro reduces the number of required air caps to just four—two conventional and two LVLP variants—covering all nozzle diameters from 1.2 to 2.5 millimeters across seven sizes. This streamlined approach cuts down on storage complexity and minimizes the possibility of selecting the wrong component. For added convenience, the air cap stays attached to the union nut after removal, eliminating loose parts during maintenance.
The updated model is also visually distinct, featuring a bronze-tone body paired with black controls, marking the arrival of a refreshed generation while preserving the established system architecture. With this release, Dürr continues to expand its portfolio of durable, high-precision low-pressure spray guns designed for quick color changes, dependable operation, improved ergonomics, and long-term efficiency.
