Danfoss Power Solutions today announced the launch of its next-generation Level 1 AxisPro® proportional valve, advancing the accessibility of intelligent hydraulic control in industrial applications. This new addition completes the Vickers by Danfoss line of servo-performance, software-configurable proportional valves. Featuring a new digital amplifier and compatibility with leading industrial communication networks, the updated AxisPro delivers enhanced precision, control, and connectivity for a wide range of systems.
Complementing the valve’s debut is the introduction of Pro-FX™ Configure v2, the redesigned configuration software that offers an intuitive interface, simplified setup, and real-time tuning for faster installation and commissioning. Together, these innovations bring a new level of intelligence and efficiency to demanding industrial applications such as presses, machine tools, and factory automation systems.
“This is not just a refresh—it’s a complete transformation,” said Gary Wei, Global Product Management Director, Motion Controls, Industrial Division, Danfoss Power Solutions. “With a digital amplifier and full support for leading network protocols, our next-generation Level 1 AxisPro valves are smarter, faster, and fully connected. We’ve optimized the design and performance while making the technology more accessible to a broader range of users.”
The new AxisPro valves feature a digital amplifier supporting Profinet®, EtherCAT®, Ethernet/IP®, and CANopen® communication, enabling seamless system integration and improved tuning for enhanced motion control. Through flow linearization, the valves maintain consistent, stable flow under all operating conditions, while dither and deadband adjustments eliminate stick-slip and dead zones for smoother motion.
Built for high performance and reliability, the new AxisPro models offer best-in-class power capacity and a pressure gain of 2.05%. With IP65 and IP67 ingress protection ratings and operating capability up to 70°C (158°F), the valves are designed for rugged environments. Optional corrosion protection and vibration resistance up to 50g further extend durability for the most demanding applications.
AxisPro valves are software-configurable and easily programmed using Danfoss’ new Pro-FX™ Configure v2 software, allowing users to set up, tune, and commission systems quickly. Advanced real-time tuning enables performance optimization for specific loads, speeds, and conditions, while integrated diagnostics and top-mounted LED indicators simplify troubleshooting and reduce downtime.
The Level 1 AxisPro product line now includes six models, with the single-stage KBSD14 valve available in sizes 03 and 05 (NG06 and NG10), and the two-stage KBHD15 available in sizes 05, 07, 08, and 10 (NG10, NG16, NG25, and NG32) beginning in November 2025. The valves are well-suited for industries such as primary metals, plastics and rubber, wood processing, pulp and paper, oil and gas, and civil engineering.
For advanced application requirements, AxisPro Level 2 and Level 3 valves provide additional servo-grade motion control, onboard closed-loop feedback, and integrated pressure and temperature sensors for even faster commissioning and enhanced diagnostics.
